Sourdough Rolled Biscuits

  • 1 cup starter
  • 2 Tblsp. cooking oil
  • 1 cup flour (usually a little more)
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 2 tsp. baking powder

Mix starter and oil. Sift together dry ingredients and add to starter and oil. Roll mixture on floured board until 1/2" thick. Cut biscuits; place on greased baking sheet and let rise for 15 minutes. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes. (I use round pans.)

Cinnamon Roll Variation

Roll biscuit dough into rectangle. Spread with butter and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Roll jelly roll fashion and slice about 1" thick.
