- Mix
- 3 cups peeled, cored, and sliced apples (Jonathon Winesaps)
- 1 scant cup white sugar (adjust to tartness of apples and desired taste)
- 1 Tblsp. flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
and place in shallow baking dish.
- Separately, mix until crumbly (adjust topping amounts to desired depth as needed):
- 1/3 cup butter
- 3/4 cup raw quick cook oats
- 3/4 cup flour
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp. soda
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- Cover the contents of the baking dish with the topping
- Bake at 350 degrees until apples are done - approximately 35-40 minutes.
